Thanks to the efforts of the gals at Graystone Bank on Linglestown Road in Harrisburg -- they were able to raise nearly $1200 for the FYB Foundation.  They plan to make this an annual event in October -- can't wait to work with you next year on this -- great job!

Central PA Vipers & Nuclear Knockouts raise $ for FYB

Play nice girls!
I didn't forget you guys!!! Way back in September, the Central PA Vipers (semi-pro women's football team) and the Nuclear Knockouts (Harrisburg Area Roller Derby) teams held a fundraiser for FYB.
The teams competed in a charity volleyball game all for good fun -- and the best part is that they raised around $800 for FYB...all with only minor bumps and bruises.

Seven Sorrows School donates $400

The local catholic elementary and middle school in my town, Seven Sorrows, recently held a basket raffle and selected the FYB Foundation as the recipient of their donation -- $400!!  In the photo is me (holding the check), Barbra Guckavan (middle), and Michelle Schopf (right) both teachers at Seven Sorrows.  Thanks for believing in FYB and helping me spread this message.

Just for a laugh -- how can you resist.  This is my adorable dog Janet in her brand new Halloween costume -- she actually loves it, if you can believe it.

We had another great turnout for our Official FYB Team at the Making Strides Walk in Harrisburg PA on October 20th this year!! For awhile we were the top fundraising team out of everyone -- way to go team.  Many thanks to Patty Piro, our fearless team captain.

NYC Boobies Bar Tour!!

The Boobies Team was out spreading the word to all of the hipsters on the Lower East Side in Manhattan on October 11th!  The Bar Tour was a great hit and we were able to pass stickers and other Boobies Information out in the participating establishments.  New Yorkers take "feeling your boobies" to a whole new level -- that's for sure!

DC Feel Your Boobies Night!!

Scott, Lauren, Rick & Kristen kicked up National Feel Your Boobies Week by hosting their First Annual FYB Night in Washington DC!!
They used our Large Boobies in a Box Kit and worked with Kelly's Irish Pub to have a table set up in the pub so they could hand out materials.  The FYB Night raised $750 for the FYB Foundation!! Not bad for a night's work guys -- way to go!

Boobies Bash -- Huge Success!

Resize of boobies20.jpg

This year's Boobies Bash was AMAZING to say the least.  I'm still reeling from the whole thing to be honest.  FIVE HUNDRED, that's right 500, people came out for the Bash -- so we sold out!  If you missed it this year, you definitely need to mark your calendar for next year.

The event raised nearly $20,000 for FYB Foundation to support awareness initiatives in 2008 -- stay tuned for our innovative plan for raising awareness -- it definitely goes beyond just tshirts :-)

Strength in Numbers 5K Run and Walk

Alright--so it's the time you've been waiting for, people........

The IBCA breast cancer walk over at Cornell this weekend was a success! It was really a lot of fun--a great cause bringing together some great people.  Now, if it was only a little warmer...

 Oh Well.

Basically, it was awesome.  The walk/run went really well--I never realized how slow I am until I witnessed some of the (fastest people ever) finishing the race in record time.  There were a ton of participants and people from all over the U.S. who came to support the cause.

IBCA really put on a wonderful event and raised a ton of money for breast cancer :-)

Here's a picture from the event.  Yes, extremely unflattering--but hey, I'm feeling his boobie (that's my boyfriend Dan by the way) and that's all that matters!

For more picture-please check out  http://www.ibca.net/news&events/walk_2007_photos.php

Remember to keep checking the events page of the FYB website for more events near you!

Park Ridge High School Donates $1500

Park Ridge High School - Female Athletes
Park Ridge, NJ
We've always been told that winning isn't everything, but at Park Ridge High School they have turned winning into a great way to raise money & awareness about the Feel Your Boobies Foundation - it's called Every Win Counts
The female athletes work with local businesses who sponsor this fundraiser which last year was able to raise $1500.  The girls selected FYB as the recipient of this awesome donation and are already starting off strong on a new year of fundraising with hopes of raising even more to support our efforts.
I had the pleasure of speaking to 100 students and parents at Park Ridge High School last night and, having been a student athlete myself in high school (I was a fast pitch pitcher and held the record for strikeouts for some time believe it or not), this was a moving experience and I felt honored to be invited to participate in this great program the school has embraced.
Great job guys -- your work will serve as a model for other schools and groups in the future.
Keep up the good work and don't forget...."feel your boobies!"

Boobies Walk Around the Corner!

Alright party people...it's time to get serious.  FOR REAL!  The IBCA (Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance) is putting on a breast cancer walk NEXT weekend (Oct. 13) at the Cornell campus.  Are you gonna be in the area?  If so-I better be seeing your friendly face there.  I'll be there with a few friends keeping an eye on the Feel Your Boobies table--if you see it, stop by and say what's up!

In other news...the Boobies bar tour (as seen below) is coming up.  In or around NYC?  Then hit up the bars, have a drink and support boobies :-)

Anway...how are things?  Hope everyone's weekend was fan-tabulous.  It has been hot as hot in Ithaca, and it's starting to worry me...isn't supposed to be snowing by now?  Well...I'm not complaining...

As far as FYB goes-I got in contact with a good friend of mine from home who goes to UVM.  Her sorority will be sponsoring a Feel Your Boobies table where you can get your healthy dose of FYB info and gear.  I recommend checking that out if you go to UVM...or live in Vermont...or would just like to get away for a while and take a drive up to the mountains.  Good stuff.

Well, I'm ghost like Swayze.
